Introducción

Talend es LA solución open source de integración de los datos y rivaliza con las soluciones propietarias que conducen el mercado. Las herramientas poderosas de la tecnología abierta permiten que los usuarios respondan eficientemente a una amplia gama de necesidades incluyendo: proveer datawarehouses, sincronizar las bases de datos, acceder a servicios Web y transformar varios formatos de ficheros (XML, VSAM, delimitado, posicional, etc.)

Usando los « case studies » a través del curso, esta formación de tres días permitirá que los estudiantes obtengan el estatuto de "foundation" para Talend Open Studio.

 1. Presentation:

  1. ETL:  An overview of proprietary and Open Source tools
  2. Operational and business intelligence integration
  3. Talend Open Studio

 

 2. Modeling & documentation:

  1. Use the Business Modeler
  2. Documentation management and version management
  3. Organize the model links/Implementation: assignment

 

 3. Job execution: files and databases:

  1. Generate data sets with tGenRow
  2. Understand diagrams and metadata
  3. Manage access to files (XML, positional, delineated, etc.)
  4. Manage database access (native, ODBC access, etc.)
  5. Use Mapper and transform the data
  6. Look up simple, multiple and complex references
  7. Manage shared code

 

 4. Component concatenation:

  1. Use Before/After/First/Last triggers
  2. Use conditional links
  3. Use iteratives
  4. Manage errors:  Trigger IfOK, IfError

 5. Roll out Talend Open Studio:

  1. Model a component using tPerlFlex
  2. Create a simple component

 

 6. Debugging, deployment and optimization:

  1. Debug quickly with tLogRow
  2. Use the statistical mode
  3. Execute step by step: trace mode
  4. Use the internal debugger
  5. Manage the context of executions
  6. Optimize jobs (routines and snippets)

 

 7. Participating in the Talend community:

  1. Use the community tools (Forum, BugTracker)
  2. Exchange with community members
